Welcome to Sonagi Learning!
Before the birth of Sonagi Learning, I spent my days teaching K-12 students at a local tutoring center. Through working with a variety of children, I started noticing a growing trend among our youth—many students have untreated gaps in their education that grow larger every year. These gaps often go unnoticed in busy classroom settings, leaving many students quietly struggling with foundational reading, writing, and math skills.
Teachers work tirelessly under challenging conditions, often with limited resources and very little support. And while incredible things happen in the classroom every day, it can be difficult for teachers to give children the individualized support they need in order to thrive. That's where Sonagi Learning steps in.
The concept for this interactive learning platform struck me in the middle of the night, and (as big ideas often do) continued to echo inside my head for several months until I finally took a leap of faith and purchased the SonagiLearning.com domain.
My goal with Sonagi Learning was to create an online platform to help address academic challenges through one-on-one tutoring sessions, small-group classes, clubs, and camps. We focus on identifying your child's learning gaps and providing personalized, meaningful support. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all the parents and guardians who have entrusted our team with the duty of guiding your child on their educational journey.
What Does "Sonagi" Even Mean?
Sonagi (소나기) means "sudden rain" in Korean.
When a student begins to understand a concept they've been struggling with for months, they experience what we often refer to as an "Aha!" moment.
The idea behind "Sonagi" is similar. With the support of our expert educators, your child will experience sudden showers of knowledge as they deepen their understanding and critical thinking skills.
Much like an unexpected rainstorm on a hot summer afternoon, our students gain mastery in challenging concepts faster than they ever thought they could.
